Nominations for the 28th Annual SAG Awards will be announced on January 12, 2022 A year after the COVID-19 pandemic forced the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards to change its format to virtual with a pre-recorded hourlong special, the awards season staple honouring the best of film and TV will be returning to business as usual.The 28th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will take place next year on February 27, 2022, reported Variety. The SAG Awards 2021 will be completely virtual and pre-taped This year’s Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards are going to a bit different as the ceremony has undergone major changes owing to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.Unlike the recent Golden Globes 2021 hybrid format, which featured some in-person and virtual appearances, the SAG Awards 2021 will be completely virtual and pre-taped. ‘Sholay’ – A masterpiece or a poor carbon copy of Kurosawa’s ‘seven samurai’?

Sholay cannot be termed a remake, a rehash also since it does not substitute a classic like Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai with another one. ‘Sholay’, touted as one of the greatest stories ever told is now 45 years old. The makers want to make another event and earn some bucks. A number of events were planned including a get together of the star ensemble on ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. However each time I revisit the film, it loses some respect which it presumably earned in the past. In the end, it all boils down to the fact that it is a poor copy of Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai.
